Traffic stop leads to drug seizure in Amherst
Two people are facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop on Laplanche Street in Amherst on Friday.
RCMP say a subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of methamphetamine tablets, cocaine packaged for resale, cash and "other items indicative of drug trafficking."
Thirty-three-year-old Steven Matthew Wilson of Springhill and a 28-year-old woman from Aulac are each charged with possession of both methamphetamine and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Wilson also faces an additional count of breach of probation.
He's due in Moncton Provincial Court on June 19th, while the unnamed woman is due on Amherst Provincial Court on April 23rd.
