Truro engineer to be honoured by Engineers Nova Scotia
Truro engineer Oliver Browning will be honoured at the Engineers Nova Scotia Awards Luncheon later this month.
Browning will receive the J D Fraser Award by Engineers Nova Scotia for substantial contribution of service to the engineering profession and the engineering association.
Browning, who established PDI Engineering Group Inc. in Truro in 2012, also contributes to the Department of Engineering at the Dalhousie University Agriculture Campus, having served as a part-time Professor/Sessional Lecturer for a first year engineering degree course and has served as the Colchester Zone Representative for Engineers Nova Scotia since 2006.
Earlier this year, his engineering firm was awarded Honourable Mention for the 2018 Engineers Nova Scotia Lieutenant Governors Award for Excellence in Engineering for its work on the Colchester-East Hants Public Library and Truro Civic Square project.
Oliver has also contributed to the Canadian Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and family resource center, Maggie's Place.
