Truro firefighter still in critical condition in Halifax hospital

Truro Fire Chief Blois Currie says a firefighter injured during a weekend training session is still in critical condition in Halifax hospital.

Speaking with our newsroom Monday morning, Currie says the Truro firefighter sustained a head injury during live fire training at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School in Waverley.

He was one of a few Truro firefighters sent for training on Saturday.

Currie says they've had great support from everybody since the incident happened.

The Labour Department is investigating.
