Truro Heights teen charged with drug trafficking

The Truro Police Service says a 17-year-old boy from Truro Heights has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Inspector Rob Hearn says the matter stems from a traffic stop near the Colchester Legion Stadium last month.

Hearn says officers seized a quantity of what's believed to be cocaine, as well as digital scales and cash as a result of the traffic stop.

Police say the youth, who cannot be named, will appear in court next month.
