Truro Police say fire at downtown business deliberate

A 20-year-old Truro man is facing charges after a break-in and fire at a downtown business.

Truro Police responded to a call of a break and enter at Coopers Cabin on the Esplanade around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived, they discovered a fire had been set inside.

Fortunately, the fire did not cause significant damage.

Police say the accused was arrested nearby and is facing charges of break and enter, possession of stolen property and arson.
