Two men face charges after RCMP discover large-scale cannabis grow-op

Two men are facing charges after a large-scale marijuana grow-op was dismantled in Pictou County.

Police searched a property in Loch Broom last Thursday afternoon as part of an ongoing investigation, seizing 1,300 cannabis plants and a large amount of packaged marijuana.

A 53-year-old man and a 47-year-old man, both from Northport, Cumberland County, were arrested at the scene.

Both face charges of production of marijuana and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

The two men are due in Pictou Provincial Court on December 17.
