Two N.B. men charged following report of attempted robbery and home invasion in Springhill
Two men from New Brunswick face a number of charges after an alleged attempted robbery and home invasion in Springhill, Nova Scotia.
Southeast District RCMP responded to a request from Nova Scotia RCMP around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to stop a westbound vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway.
The alleged incident in Springhill happened around 5 p.m. and the men, both from Riverview, fled from police.
A spike belt was deployed on the highway near the exit for Painsec, which stopped the vehicle but the suspects fled on foot.
The New Brunswick RCMP's Police Dog Services were deployed and located the two men, aged 42 and 36, a short time later.
They were arrested and taken to hospital for minor injuries before being released into police custody.
A member of the New Brunswick RCMP was also injured while responding to the call, and was treated in hospital and later released.
The RCMP has not detailed the charges which the men will be facing, but they're due in Moncton Provincial Court oin Wednesday.
