Two new judges appointed to the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia
Two new judges were appointed to the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia on Friday.
The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada made the announcement in a press release yesterday.
The province says Scott C. Norton, Q.C. will replace Justice N. M. (Nick) Scaravelli, and preside primarily in Supreme Court in Pictou.
Darlene Jamieson, Q.C., will replace Justice Kevin Coady and will be based in Halifax.
The province says both appointments are effective immediately and the new judges will be sworn in at robing ceremonies in the coming weeks.
