Two people charged following Port Hawkesbury drug bust

Two people are facing charges after police seized cocaine, hydromorphone, dexamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia in Port Hawkesbury.

Inverness County District RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Cameron Court around 4 p.m. on Sunday and arrested 25-year-old Joseph Allison Sponagle of Havre Boucher.

He's since been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of hydromorphone and dexamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

The RCMP say their investigation led to the same charges being laid against a 23-year-old woman from Inverness County, and both are due in court on October 30th.
