Two teens facing multiple charges: RCMP

RCMP say two teens are facing multiple charges after police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Sackville Drive Thursday night.

Police say the vehicle, a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, had been reported stolen from Dartmouth earlier in the day.

Mounties say the 16-year-old driver struck a police vehicle and also drove towards an RCMP member who was out of their vehicle, but was able to move before being clipped by the passing car.

The vehicle was later located after the driver lost control and entered a ditch.

The 16-year-old boy was arrested in the nearby woods, while a 14-year-old girl was found walking down the street.

Police say the boy is facing several charges including assault with a weapon, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief, possession of stolen property, failure to stop at the scene of an accident, and failure to comply with an undertaking.

The girl is facing charges including possession of stolen property and obstruction.
