Union representing N.S. film technicians says members still impacted by film tax credit elimination

The union representing film technicians in Nova Scotia says members are still being hurt by the elimination of the film tax credit.

The group says work was down 55 per cent in 2017 compared to 2016.

The provincial NDP released the figures and says the hours worked dropped to almost 139-thousand in 2015 from 350-thousand hours in 2014 when the Liberals cut the provincial tax credit.

Those hours plummeted to 107-thousand in 2017.
