**Updated** 2 men charged after shooting in Cape Breton

Two men are facing charges in connection with a weekend shooting in Cape Breton.

The RCMP say they received a report that a 34-year-old man had been shot in the leg at a home on Highway 252 in Skye Glen around 11:20 p.m. Friday.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later released.

Police say a 27-year-old man was arrested nearby a short time later, while a 33-year-old man was arrested as he walked out of a nearby wooded area on Saturday afternoon.

Police say one of the men is facing an aggravated assault charge, and the other is facing firearms and drug offences.

Investigators say all parties involved are known to each other and there's no risk to the public.
