**Updated at 4:10 p.m.**
A 22-year-old man has been arrested after what Truro Police called an "ongoing situation" on Lavinia Drive.
Access points were blocked on Kaulback Street for a few hours after police arrived on scene after 10 a.m.
Speaking with our newsroom, Truro Police Chief Dave MacNeil said there were several incidents with an individual and the most recent one led police to a residence.
He says they spoke to residents in the immediate area and asked them to leave until the situation was resolved.
The RCMP's Emergency Response Team was contacted and arrived around 2 p.m.
In an update around 4 p.m., Inspector Rob Hearn say the man was taken into custody and faces weapons-related charges.
The man is being held in custody, pending a court appearance tomorrow morning.
