**Updated** Oxford man fined after illegal tobacco seizure in N.B.

RCMP in New Brunswick say a 69-year-old Oxford man has been fined after being charged in the seizure of illegal cigarettes.
Jean Claude Alary pled guilty in Woodstock Provincial Court on Tuesday to possession of unstamped tobacco products under the Excise Act and was fined $4999.88.
A traffic stop on November 2nd on Highway 2 in Hartland led to the seizure of more than 20,000 contraband cigarettes and 44 illegal cigars.
The traffic stop was conducted by the New Brunswick RCMP Tactical Traffic Enforcement Unit.
