**Updated at 9:21 p.m. Saturday**

Police say a 17-year-old boy arrested after the death of a man in Stewiacke has been charged with second-degree murder.

Nova Scotia RCMP say they responded to a disturbance at a home on Main Street East around 3:30 a.m. Friday.

They say officers located a 46-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

The man was later pronounced dead at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro.

Neighbours told CTV Atlantic they believe the altercation began on the street and ended up in the house where the body was found.

Officers would not release the identity of the victim, but Facebook postings made by his wife, Shelly Woods, say the victim's name is Daniel Handrahan.

Investigators also would not say whether the victim and accused knew each other.

Police say the teen, who was arrested at the scene, is scheduled to appear in Truro provincial court on Monday.
