A pair of schools in Glace Bay were locked down Friday after police say two letters indicated a potential threat.

Cape Breton Regional Police were on scene at Glace Bay High School and Oceanside Education Centre.

CTV Atlantic's Kyle Moore reports that police and school staff determined there was no risk to public safety and officers will continue to investigate the source of the threats.

Police remained on scene until dismissal at both schools, at which point the lockdowns were lifted.
