Vehicle photos from Lower Sackville shooting released, police ask for assistance

Halifax District RCMP is asking for help to identify two vehicles after gunshots were reported in the Sunnyvale Crescent area of Lower Sackville on Monday afternoon.

A small black car was seen speeding towards Beaver Bank Road, and a man who had been on foot was then seen getting into a white Honda CR-V, which sped off towards Hillsdale Crescent.

Four homes on Sunnyvale Crescent were struck by bullets, and police say the investigation to date has led them to believe the target was the occupant, or occupants, of the small black car; not the homes.

The driver of the CR-V is described as a white man, 25-30 years old, with a thin build and wearing black clothing, with witnesses indicating he had a handgun and was wearing white gloves.

The passenger in the CR-V is described as a white woman in her twenties, wearing a black coat with the hood pulled up, with fur on the hood of her jacket.
