Wayward dolphin returned to sea after receiving help from N.S. fishermen
A wayward dolphin got some much needed help from some Nova Scotia fishermen who went to great lengths to return it to the sea.
Desmond Brannen was on a beach on Cape Sable Island on Friday morning when he found a live dolphin that had been tossed ashore by rough surf.
He and a friend tried to drag the black and white dolphin back into the turbulent waters, but huge waves kept tumbling the creature back onto the beach.
He and several friends then heaved the dolphin up onto a truck and drove to a nearby causeway where they lowered it into the water, watching it swim in a couple of circles as if to say thank you.
