Weather warnings issued across Nova Scotia ahead of latest winter storm

A number of weather warnings have been issued Tuesday morning as a storm rolls through the northeastern U.S. and approaches the Maritimes.

Environment Canada is forecasting 15 centimetres of snow in total, beginning Tuesday afternoon.

Cumberland County is under a winter storm warning, with strong southeast winds Tuesday night reducing visibility to near zero at times.

The weather agency says the snow could change to freezing rain before switching to rain overnight in the rest central and northern Nova Scotia.

Rainfall and wind warnings have been issued for southwestern Nova Scotia and the Atlantic coast.
