Weekend fire in Truro leaves 4 people temporarily homeless

At least four people are temporarily homeless after fire damaged a six-unit apartment building in downtown Truro.

The Canadian Red Cross says the blaze broke out in a two-storey building on Arthur Street Sunday afternoon.

The organization arranged emergency lodging, food and clothing for three adults, while a fourth person arranged to stay with family or friends for the time being.

No one was hurt, and there's no word yet on a cause.

Last October, the Red Cross says seven tenants were forced out by another fire in the same apartment building.
