Windsor District RCMP postpone search for missing man

The Windsor District RCMP and volunteer Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) team search for Timothy Wells that was scheduled for this weekend has been postponed.

Police say the search has been pushed back to April 27 and 28 due to snow cover on the ground.

RCMP describe Wells as a white male, standing approximately 6' tall and weighing 270lbs, with thinning grey hair, scruffy beard and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a blue jacket with a white crest on the left side and an orange bicycle helmet.

Police say they have received new information that has provided a more accurate location of where he was last seen.

S/Sgt. Cory Bushell, Detachment Commander of Windsor District RCMP, says "Our hope is that we can find some evidence that helps provide Tim's family with some information about what happened to him."

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on the whereabouts of Timothy Wells is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
