Women Conflict Zones
Three women with expertise in medical and humanitarian fields will spend the eve of International Women's Day in Halifax talking about how to protect women and children in conflict zones.
The event takes place Tuesday evening at Halifax Central Library.
Panelists include Dr. Mariam Kone, the global health advisor to the Canadian Red Cross and Dr. Shelly Whitman, who has been Executive Director of the Romeo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative.
Dr. Helen Scott, who is Executive Director of the Canadian Partnership for Women and Children's Health, is also presenting at the gathering.
