Yarmouth man charged with sexual assault

A 44-year-old Yarmouth man has been charged with one count of sexual assault after an incident early last month.

Yarmouth Rural RCMP began an investigation on Tuesday after a report of a sexual assault and arrested Dominic Jacob Deveau on Wednesday.

Police say the victim met a man at a coffee shop on March 3rd and they went for a drive outside of town, where the sexual assault is alleged to have taken place.

Deveau has been released on a number of conditions, including no contact with the victim, and he's scheduled to appear in court on May 28th.

The RCMP say they're concerned there are additional victims and are asking anyone who feels they may have been victimized to contact them.
