  • Mastercard Memorial Cup

    The centennial celebration at the 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup will take place May 17-27, 2018, and will feature the host Regina Pats who competed in the very first Memorial Cup championship in 1919, along with the 2018 champions from the Western Hockey League, the Ontario Hockey League, and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

    Start this fun filled day off with a Warm-Up Run! Race time is at 9:00am on Saturday, June 9th at the White City Community Centre. You can register online at www.raceroster.com. Registration deadline is Wednesday, June 6th, for more information check out www.whitecity.ca. Next is the Family Fun Day at the Splash Park in White City from 11:00am-3:00pm. It’s free for everyone! There will be a hot dog sale, SaskTel entertainment trailer, dino bouncers, face painting, games, prizes and more. Then at noon, head to Teens in the Park. Once again it’s free for everyone and there will be a car show, the grid vr arcade will be there, plus music, a photo booth, games, ball hockey, pizza and treats. The Street Dance will wrap the White City Summer Festival up that night. Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8:00pm and it’s free for all ages. Endless Summer will be performing at the Community Centre. It will be a fun filled night with prizes, beer gardens, 50/50, a BBQ and fireworks at 10:30pm.     Canada’s National Women’s Open Championship has traditionally featured one of the strongest fields on the LPGA Tour vying for a total purse of $2.25 million USD, one of the largest purses on tour. The CP Women’s Open welcomes the top players on the LPGA Tour including CP golf ambassadors Brooke Henderson and Lorie Kane and fellow Canadian Alena Sharp, along with past champions and LPGA stars such as Lydia Ko, Ariya Jutanugarn, So Yeon Ryu, Suzann Pettersen and Michele Wie.
