• Delta Park Tour

    Celebrate the Season at Lower Beverley Lake Park in Delta (Dec 16) Just think of it…. An evening stroll or a wagon ride amidst trees and buildings that are all magically lit with holiday lights. If this interests you, then Lower Beverley Lake Park is the place for you this holiday season! Delta Park will be open for tours on December 9th between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. More than 90,000 Christmas lights will adorn the trees and buildings throughout the park and will highlight various theme corners, a candy cane lane, a gingerbread house, a nativity scene, Santa’s workshop and a miniature display of Delta’s heritage buildings. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will be on hand to receive those special wish lists, pose for photographs and give out holiday treats. Beef stew and biscuit dinner will be available at the United Church. Wagon rides will begin a trek to the park from the Delta Fair Grounds starting at 5:00 p.m. Throughout the festival, tours of the Old Stone Mill will also be available.     The Athens Museum is open every Saturday from 9-12 and the Museum is continuing to host Muffins and Memories from 10-12 on the third Saturday of each month. On December 16th the theme will be Christmas Memories. January 20th's topic will be memories of the 1997 Ice Storm. Donations welcome.

    The Brockville Figure Skating Club is having a special Christmas Ice Show at the Memorial Centre on December the 17th at 2pm. What a great way to get into the holiday spirit with the whole family! The very beginner skaters up to the highest level skaters are putting together a show full of Christmas cheer. Come and celebrate the magic of the season with the Brockville Figure Skating Club at the Memorial Centre on December the 17th at 2pm! Little children, colourful costumes, and spectacular performances all skating to your favourite Christmas songs. Tickets are just $7 for adults and $5 dollars for children. Tickets can be bought at the door. The Club will also be holding a Silent Auction prior to the show: there’s even one for 2 tickets (great seats and free parking) to the Ottawa Senators vs the New Jersey Devils worth over $400! If you would like to register your child for the club’s winter session, go to the Youth Arena on Tuesday, December 12th from 5:30-630 pm or Thursday, December 14th from 5-6pm
