  • Paint Night for Ethan's Army

    On Thursday November 15th, members of Ethan’s Army are hosting a Paint Night Party and Silent Auction at Bridlewood Manor at 6 pm to raise funds to help cover costs of Ethan’s continued care. Participants at the Paint Night Party will be painting a “Make a wish for Ethan” image of a dandelion with instruction from Jill Andress. There will also be a large silent auction open to the public from 7:00-8:30 pm and all funds will go toward the Tucker family’s renovation and expenses related to Ethan’s care. Items will be available online for pre-bids & buy it now options on Facebook at Auction for Ethan starting November 2nd. Money raised will help with the cost of installing an accessible bathroom, and a staircase chair lift so that Ethan can sleep in his own bed again, rather than the living room couch. Bridlewood Manor and Jill Andress have donated space and expertise, respectively, to make this Paint Night Party a success. The cost is $50.     The Village of Lyn Santa Claus Parade is on Saturday, November 17th beginning at 5pm. There are many entries registered ranging from families, businesses, service clubs, volunteer organizations to farm animals just name a few. Kinsmen Club of Brockville will be collecting Snow Suits along the parade route; so please support the Kinsmen Club of Brockville Snow Suit drive for children in our area. The parade steps off at Lyn School, heading West on Main street, turn Right onto Perth Street, turn Right onto Cummings, turn Right onto St. George, turn Left on Main Street and finishing at Lyn School.     The Rotary Clubs of Brockville are proud to hold the Annual Brockville Rotary Santa Claus Parade on Saturday November 24th at 5pm. Our theme this year is ‘LIGHT UP CHRISTMAS’, as we travel the new parade route this year! We begin on North Augusta Road at Pearl Street and travel down North Augusta Road to King Street East. We will head straight down King Street and end at Leon’s/Metro/Rotary Park, at the West end of King Street. Once again we will have prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Overall, Most Humorous entry, Best Band, Best Clown and Best Walker Entry.
