#LifeWithCharlie - Walk Day Is Just Around The Corner!

If you've been here before, you know that my Charlie was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes last February. It's one hell of a disease to mange, but we're managing.

This Saturday will be our second year walking in the 'Sunlife Walk To Cure Diabetes' and we can't WAIT!

See, it's not JUST a walk and/or fundraiser. It's a huge 'to-do'! And it's not even an early start...Registration starts at 1030 @ Bedford's Dewolfe Park and there will be bouncy castles, face painting, game trucks, LEGO tents, pizza, hot dog and Subway!

It's also a great way for all of the Type 1 families to get together to support each other and show our babies that their not alone. I mean, chances are, YOU know someone with Type 1...There are over 300,000 children, teens and adults living with it here in Canada alone!

Crazy, right?

I wanted to share with you a side of diabetes that you maybe never even thought of. As a T1 Mom, leaving the house is no easy task. It takes a lot of thought and preparation for even the smallest of outings. Traveling with it is, well...See for yourself. This is Charlie's BFF, Aaliyah and her Mom, Amanda getting ready to travel to Toronto for a Taekwondo Tournament:

I am SURE that Charlie WILL see a cure in her time but not without your help.
