If you’re planning to run or walk during Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon weekend, May 18-20, why not go “one-step” further and take part in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge?

According to the Blue Nose website,The Scotiabank Charity Challenge unites the unbreakable spirit of runners and walkers with a unique fundraising program to help create a stronger future for young people and build vibrant communities.” Last year, the Charity Challenge raised $600,000 for 73 charities and since it began 9 years ago, the Charity Challenge at the Blue Nose Marathon has raised 3.9 million dollars.

Here’s how easy it is to participate in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge:

  • Register for the 5KM, 10KM, 15KM Half Marathon, Full Marathon, Marathon Team Relay, or Youth Run at this year’s Blue Nose Marathon and at the same time, sign up for the Scotiabank Charity Challenge
  • Donate to a fundraiser or team.
  • Register as an official charity

If you’re planning to run anyway, why not raise a little money for your favourite charity. It’s one of the many things that make the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon so incredibly special.
