Over 400 members of the Nova Scotia sport community congregated at the Halifax convention Centre tonight as Sport Nova Scotia revealed the winners of the 2018 Support4Sport Awards. The prominent annual event honoured the achievements of over 150 athletes, coaches, officials, sponsors, and volunteers from 37 different sports.

“The sport world is as chaotic as it is cherished. Demanding practice schedules and travelling for games doesn’t leave much time for leisure. This is a unique opportunity to take a night off, relax and reflect. The people here tonight have dedicated so much of their lives to sport and we are humbled to honour them,” said Jamie Ferguson, CEO of Sport Nova Scotia.

“Every single nominee should be proud of their accomplishments in sport,” said Bob MacKinnon, President & CEO of the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation. “As Nova Scotians, we’re proud to celebrate your hard work, dedication and excellence, and to support your passion throughout the year with the Support4Sport program.”
