    Benefit Breakfast for the Sherwood Family Lincoln resident Mark Sherwood has been diagnosed with Stage 1 lung cancer and he also has COPD. The father of two boys has been unable to work due to his lung capacity being at only 25%. His youngest son Owen, pictured, attends Creative Childcare in Lincoln and the staff there want to do something to help easy this family’s financial burden while Mike battles for better health. Join the staff of Creative Childcare for a pancake breakfast in support of the Sherwood family on Sunday, November 18. 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Oromocto Royal Canadian Legion, 284 Restigouche Rd. By donation - Menu includes: pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, tea, coffee, and juice. There will also be a bake sale, a basket raffle, and a 50/50 draw. -30- Thank you!

  • York Sunbury Search and Rescue Project Lifesaver Program

    York Sunbury Search and Rescue is proud to announce that on November 1, 2018, we successfully activated our first client for the Project Lifesaver Program. Project Lifesaver involves fitting clients diagnosed with Alzheimers disease, dementia, autism, traumatic brain injuries, or related afflictions which may increase their likelihood to wander or become lost; with a bracelet which will enable Search and Rescue personnel to quickly find them using radio receivers programmed to the particular frequency assigned to the missing individual. Recent statistics show that Project Lifesaver searches have drastically reduced search times, which greatly increases survivability for the missing individual . York Sunbury Search and Rescue (YSSR) currently have 8 members trained as Electronic Search Specialists with Project Lifesaver International, and plan to continue to expand in the coming months If you or someone you know are interested or would like further information on the benefits of Project Lifesaver, feel free to contact York Sunbury Search and Rescue by phone at 506-461-5832
