Emergency Room Closures for Colchester and Cumberland Counties: April 21-27

The Nova Scotia Health Authority has announced the following schedule of temporary daytime emergency room closures in Colchester and Cumberland County for next week.

The province says the Emergency Department at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche will be shut down as follows:
- Sunday April 21: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Monday April 22: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

The government says the emergency room at North Cumberland Collaborative in Pugwash will be closed for the following dates and times:
- Sunday April 21: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Monday April 22: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Tuesday April 23: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Wednesday April 24: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Thursday April 25: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Friday April 26: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Saturday April 27: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the Emergency Department at All Saints Springhill will be closed as follows:
- Sunday April 21: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Tuesday April 23: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Wednesday April 24: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Friday April 26: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
- Saturday April 27: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

The province says the Emergency Department at South Cumberland Collaborative in Parrsboro will be shut down for the following dates and times:
- Sunday April 21: 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
- Monday April 22: 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
- Tuesday April 23: 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
- Wednesday April 24: 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
- Saturday April 27: 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.

The daytime closues are due to a lack of available doctors; however, the government adds all four emergency rooms will be available overnight, with coverage provided by the paramedic/registered nurse/oversight physician team.
