2nd quake strikes off coast of Vancouver Island
Another earthquake has struck off the coast of Vancouver island, this time at magnitude 5.5.
The US Geological Survey says the quake hit just after 7 pm about 175 kilometers west of Port Hardy.
It follows a handful of smaller nearby quakes, including a 5.1 magnitude event this morning.
The U-S National Weather Service Tsunami Alert Centre says no Tsunami activity is expected.
There have been no reports of damage so far.
