BC Transit Bus Collides With Cyclist

Just before 4:30 on Monday September 3rd, a BC Transit bus collided with a cyclist on the Pat Bay Highway off-ramp leading to McKenzie Ave.

The cyclist using the off-ramp crossed into the path of the bus, which was heading in the same direction.

The cyclist was struck, but suffered non-lifethreatening injuries. Nobody on the bus was injured.

The collision caused a backup of traffic, as an investigation took place.

Saanich Police investigated the incident, and found that the bus was not at fault.
