Cash and drugs seized after speeding car pulled over on West Shore
West Shore RCMP have seized drugs, including crack-cocaine and cash after stopping a speeding vehicle in Langford.
It happened March 1st when mounties pulled the vehicle over for speeding near the intersection of West Shore Parkway and Commander Court.
An officer became suspicious and the investigation lead to the arrest of the two occupants for possession of a controlled substance.
A search of the vehicle and occupants lead to a seizure of over $1200 cash and upwards of 18 grams of crack-cocaine. Other suspected drugs like ecstasy were also seized by police in the same stop.
The driver was released without charges. The passenger of the vehicle, a 20 year old male, was later released by police by way of a promise to appear.
Police are still investigating this incident. Neither occupant was a resident of the West Shore area.
