Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke MP Randall Garrison to run again in the next federal election

Last week, two heavy-hitter NDP MPs announced they would not be seeking re-election in October--Victoria MP Murray Rankin and Nathan Cullen, who represents Skeena-Bulkley Valley.

Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke MP Randall Garrison spoke Tuesday on CFAX, and says the departures do not indicate trouble within the party.  He notes there are just as many, or more not running in the other two parties.

Garrison says he hopes to make a comeback in Parliament.

"I would love to be re-elected again.  There are a lot of things I've been working on that aren't finished and I have a very strong team, locally on the ground.  We're ready to go,  If there happens to be a snap election, we're completely ready and we'll be even more ready when we get to October."

Garrison says there are strong New Democrats going for comebacks and many strong new candidates already nominated.
