Greater Victoria School District to consider SPCA guidelines on classroom pets
The Greater Victoria School District is looking at some proposals by the BCSPCA for animal welfare.
One change the district will be looking at is whether or not classroom pets should be allowed.
The BCSPCA recommends not allowing classroom pets, unless it is one that the teacher already owns, and an animal that is normally domesticated.
The district will decide whether to set up a sub-committee to develop a policy keeping in mind the SPCA's guidelines on Monday.
