Locals needed for Earthquake Drill

This event promises to be quite the shaker.

Local residents and their pets are needed to portray "evacuees" who have been displaced from their homes due to a major earthquake.

You will get to stretch your acting skills. Offficials say the more realistic the exercise, the better prepared the Victoria Red Cross ESS team will be.

Emergency Management Victoria's emergency reception centre exercise'happens next Sunday November 18 from 2pm to 4pm at the James Bay Community Centre School on Oswego Street.

The exercise gives the Victoria Red Cross Emergency Social Services team a chance to hone their skills, and as a volunteer evacuee you'll learn how reception centre works.

If you want to bring your pet to the dril: .Dogs should be on leash and cats in carrying cases.
