RCMP Seize drugs, cash, weapons in Langford arrest

Weapons, drugs, and cash were seized last week when a drug dealer was caught in Langford.

As part of their crackdown on drug dealers and traffickers, West Shore RCMP's Crime Reduction Unit executed two search warrants on a residence on Moyes Road in Langford on May 10th.

The search warrant led to the seizure of over $1200 in cash, over 43 grams of crack cocaine, 175 grams of methamphetamine, 5.5 grams of fentanyl, drug packaging material and fake prescription drugs that are suspected to be opioids.  Officers also seized a prohibited conducted energy weapon (taser) and bear spray.

The resident of the house, a male in his 30's, was arrested for Drug Trafficking, Breach of Recognizance, and Theft Under $5000.

West Shore RCMP says they will continue to crack down on drug trafficking, and asks anyone with information regarding these crimes to call them at 250-474-2264, or report it to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
