Suspended Police Chief launches new lawsuit
Victoria's suspended police chief has launched a new lawsuit trying to sink an investigation into his alleged misconduct.
Frank Elsner is under the microscope for sending inappropriate tweets to a subordinate's wife and is being investigated over allegations he tampered with evidence.
It's reported that Elsner has petitioned BC Supreme Court seeking to have an external investigation by the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner stayed.
Elsner claims the situation has dragged on for an unreasonably long time and it’s taking a toll on his health. He says in court documents that he wants to resign but can’t until this matter is resolved.
