Weekend Road Closures: October 12 - 15 ... It could (and will) be worse
By comparison, this week's road closures list isn't half bad. Yes, there will be some annoyances, but it's not nearly as crummy as it has been, or as unpleasant as it will be.
The area you'll need to worry about is, as usual, the Turcot Interchange.
The following ramp closures are in place from Friday at 11:59 P.M. to Monday 5:00 A.M.
- Route 136 west (new Ville Marie) to Highway 15 north
- Highway 20 east to Highway 15 north
- Highway 15 south to Highway 20 west
- Highway 15 north to Highway 20 west
Also through the Turcot Interchange, from Friday 10:00 P.M. to Monday 5:00 A.M., Highway 15 south from the bottom of the Decarie Expressway to the entrance from Highway 20 east. The closure means the only route available once you hit the bottom of the Decarie Expressway is the ramp towards Route 136 east, bringing you downtown.
Notre-Dame St. will be closed between Monk and Côte-Saint-Paul, also from Friday at 10:00 P.M. to Monday 5:00 A.M.
Continued work on the Mercier Bridge will close the southbound side of the structure for the weekend, starting at 10:00 P.M. Friday. There will be one lane available in each direction on the Montreal bound side of the bridge.
On the West Island the ramp from Highway 40 east to Highway 13 south will be off limits Friday night to Monday morning.
