Fisheries and Oceans Canada says it has lifted fishing restrictions on the Nepisiguit River near Bathurst.

Last month the department restricted the angling of all species, from the dam at Grand Falls downstream to the mouth of the river, due to high water temperatures.

During that time fishing was only permitted from 11am until 6am the next morning.

The restrictions were lifted on Tuesday.
