Government announces roadwork investments in province's southeast region
Government has announced a nearly $9 million investment in roadwork in the province's southeast region as part of its 2018-19 capital budget.
The government and Village of Dorchester, under the Municipal Designated Highway Program, will fund storm sewer, curb, and gutter work, as well as paving on a 500-metre section of Main Street between Harrop Avenue and Water Street.
The government and the Town of Sackville will fund the reconstruction of a 300-metre section of Main Street from Union Street to Queens Road under the same program.
The Village of Memramcook is working with the government to fund the paving of 3.4 kilometres of Route 925 between the Belliveau Creek area and Centrale Street.
The program allows municipalities to apply for assistance with funding for capital upgrade projects.
