Bloodwork services changing to walk-in basis at Northwest Zone hospitals
Bloodwork services at the three hospitals in the Vitalité Health Network's Northwest Zone will soon be available on a walk-in basis.
The health authority says the change at Grand Falls General Hospital goes into effect at noon on June 4th.
The switch at the Edmundston Regional Hospital and Hôtel-Dieu-Saint Joseph de Saint Quentin happens at noon on July 3rd.
Gilles Lanteigne, President and CEO of the Network, says patients will now have the opportunity to get bloodwork done based on their own availabilities instead of an appointment from central scheduling that may not be convenient for them.
Patients will be able to come without an appointment to each hospital facility Monday through Friday, according to the schedules set for these services.
