Runaway vehicle strikes parked vehicles and pedestrian in Woodstock
One person has been sent to hospital after a runaway vehicle hit three parked cars, a pedestrian, and a building late Tuesday morning.
Woodstock Police Force Deputy Chief Dan Goodwin told the Bugle Observer the vehicle with mechanical issues was being placed onto a tow truck and went into reverse.
The vehicle backed down a hill and the brakes weren't working.
It hit two parked vehicles on Richmond Street, then caused minor injuries to a pedestrian before hitting the parked vehicle, pushing it into the building.
Goodwin told the newspaper he wasn't sure what the monetary value of the damage done was, but that it was "substantial".
