Thirty year old man pleads guilty for stealing election signs in Grand Falls
A 30-year-old man has pleaded guilty to stealing election signs belonging to the two Grand Falls mayoral candidates in last May's municipal election.
Brunswick news reporting Roch Alain Ouellette, of Grand Falls, who is working out west, was represented by a member of his family for his sentencing before Judge Jacques Desjardins in Edmundston provincial court on Jan. 31.
Ouellette was given a conditional discharge, fined $200 and ordered to make a $200 donation to the Grand Falls Regional Food Bank.
Elections signs for candidates Richard Keeley and Marcel Deschênes were stolen during the night prior to the municipal election on May 9.
