Official opening held for renovated space at Grand Falls General Hospital
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday at the Grand Falls General Hospital to officially open its recently renovated space.
The $75,000 initiative involved three projects funded by the Fondation des amis de l’Hôpital général de Grand-Sault.
Two rooms dedicated to the comfort of patients in the palliative phase were modernized with renovations and furniture, the lunch/activity room was upgraded, and the chapel was relocated and furnished.
The foundation's Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors Annie Daneault says, "The goal of this initiative was to create spaces that make patients forget they are in hospital. I am pleasantly surprised with the final result and am certain that patients will be equally satisfied."
The Vitalité Health Network says these projects were made possible through the involvement of the Dr. Oetker Community Fund.
