12 taken to hospital after car crashes into Quebec City condo building
More than two dozen people needed medical attention after a car crashed into a building in Quebec City on Wednesday afternoon.
Quebec City police say the crash happened on the ground floor of a six-story condo building near the corner of Charest and Langelier Blvds., in the fashionable St-Roch neighborhood. It seems the car collided with another car before one of them continued clear into the building.
The car caught fire shortly afterward. Firefighters were quick to put the fire out, but a total of 12 people had to be sent to hospital, while another 15 were treated on the scene by paramedics.
Among those taken to hospital were the drivers of the two cars. Both suffered serious injuries, though both are expected to survive.
The building was evacuated as a precaution.
