14-year-old girl in critical condition after being hit by bus
A 14-year-old girl was hit by a Repentigny transit authority bus while she tried to cross de la Famille-Dubreuil St. near Sherbrooke St., in the Point-aux-Trembles borough on Friday morning.
Police say the bus hit her after she crossed halfway through the street.
The incident took place around 8:20 a.m. on Friday.
The driver reportedly could not see or avoid the girl.
She was taken to hospital in critical condition, she has several fractures.
The 58-year-old bus driver was also transported to hospital for shock.
The Montreal police's collision unit analyzed the scene and spoke with witnesses.
The investigation is ongoing.
