Another 10 to 15 cms of snow is on the way

Make sure to keep your shovel handy, and if you have one, assure your snow blower is in working order.

There's more snow coming.

Environment Canada is calling for another 10 to 15 centimetres of fresh snow to fall Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

"Snow will begin Tuesday evening and become heavier Wednesday morning. It will then weaken through the evening and Wednesday night" the weather agency said.

The snow and flurries will continue through Thursday, with Friday right now looking like we'll finally see a break for it all with a little bit of sunshine as well.

The City of Montreal was kept very busy clearing the foot of snow that fell on the city Sunday and through the night into Monday. Snow loading operations began Monday at 7:00 P.M. in most boroughs, with crews cleaning about 10% of streets overnight.

The work will continue Tuesday in preparation for the next significant snowfall.

You can find more information on the city's snow removal operations, and where to find some of the free parking spaces made available though its website.
