Another black hockey player says he's heard racial taunts for years
Another black hockey player says he's been the target of racism, that it's been going on for years.
But, 17-year old Sean Kalombo, who plays high school hockey in St. Jerome, tells CTV it's nothing like what happened to Jonathan Diaby on Tuesday.
His stepfather says some parents began yelling at his stepson.
“The parents asked him to fight,” said Jonathan Chatel.
Chatel added his stepson has even been called the n-word.
One man watching the game approached Diaby showing him a picture of a monkey, others jeered Diaby's family in the stands.
None of the protesting fans attending Diaby's game, also in St Jerome, was evicted.
