C&D Aerospace shutting down Ste. Anne plant; 220 jobs to be lost
C&D Aerospace Canada, a company that specializes in making furnishings for the cabins of business jets, will be shutting its plant in Ste. Anne de Bellevue by the end of August.
About 220 jobs will be lost between now and the end of the summer.
Its parent company, Zodiac Aerospace, says it will transfer some of its operations to a facility in Kirkland, but toilets for the Airbus A350 XW jets will be made in California.
C&D Aerospace Canada employs about 700 people, most of whom aren't unionized.
